Troubleshooting
PrimeFrame makes it easy for you to diagnose issues you may encounter on your show-system.
Below are a few of the most common issues.
One or more rooms are not displaying video.
First, check that all of the servers are running properly, review the "status" plugin to see if any servers are currently disconnected.
Second check for a projector status off or shuttered using the projector control plugin.
If you see a server that is disconnected, go to that physical server and check for a blue light. All servers will have a blue light on the front panel when they are powered on correctly.
If a server does not have a blue light, turn it on but opening the front cover and pressing the power switch one time.
If the server does not turn on, check the power cables in the rear of the server are properly connected.
If multiple servers are off in the same rack, this could be a larger power issue that needs to be addressed. Please get in touch with support with this information.
If the server has a blue light but is not displaying video properly and not appearing on the status page, you may need to replace this server with a backup server. Contact support for instructions in replacing the server.
One projector is not turning on or showing video content.
Since most servers share multiple projectors, if multiple projections have issues could mean a server issue or a room power issue but single projector issues will probably be a mechanical issue, power or data cable issue.
FIrst check the "projector control" plugin to see if any projectors are currently disconnected, turned off, or shuttered.
Make sure that the projector appears powered on in this plugin view as well as the shutter disabled.
Double-check that the projector has power and is connected to the network connection.
A dark card in the projector plugin means the projector is not connectable on the network and there may be a larger hardware issue with the projector or it is simply not plugged in.
The image appears not aligned to the surface.
If a projector is adjusted or something is moved, the image may appear un-aligned and may need to be adjusted. Review the "Calibration" plugin and adjust the "stoner" tool to remap the projector.
